Introduction

Getting started

Install Melanite on a Raspberry Pi CM5, headless, or in Docker — and wire your first node graph.

Melanite runs on a Raspberry Pi CM5 (headless or on a touchscreen), in Docker, or on any server. This guide gets you from zero to a running node graph.

Scaffold doc — replace with the real install steps once the platform packaging chain ships.

1. Get the image

Download the latest release from the downloads page.

2. First boot

On first boot Melanite serves its editor at http://<device>:<port>. Open it, drop in an input node, a PID node, and an output node, and wire them.

3. Connect a device

Add a Modbus TCP or EtherCAT node and point it at your hardware. Port values stream live into the editor and any custom HMI.
